Waterfalls - Burgess Falls
Burgess Falls is a beautiful horseshoe shaped waterfall which drops 136 feet into a large limestone gorge. Burgess Falls is the largest of 4 waterfalls located in Burgess Falls State Park. It's a short distance downstream from Middle Falls. The waterfalls are all part of Falling Water River which drops a combined 250 feet in less than a mile.
Burgess Falls State Park and Natural Area, located in Middle Tennessee, lies on the eastern edge of Tennessee's Highland Rim adjacent to the Cumberland Plateau and is noted for its natural beauty. Sheer bluffs, narrow ridges, rolling water and abundant mixed forest, characterize this area.
