Waterfalls - Big Branch Falls
Big Branch Falls is a beautiful 15ft. cascading waterfall. It's the first waterfall on the trail which leads to Virgin Falls. Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness is within the greater Scott's Gulf region and adjacent to the Bridgestone/Firestone Centennial Wilderness Area. It was previously a Bowater Pocket Wilderness Area until it was purchased by the State in 1996. The deep gorges are heavily wooded and are ecologically diverse supporting various aged second growth mixed mesophytic and oak-hickory forest. The forests and geologic features make Virgin Falls one of Tennessee's favorite destinations.	Click image to enlarge. Height: 15ft.

Turn RIGHT onto Old TN-111 - drive approximately 1.0 miles. Turn LEFT onto TN-284 - drive approximately 1.0 miles. Turn RIGHT onto TN-111 - drive approximately 17.1 miles. Take the ramp onto Spencer Hwy/TN-1/TN-111/US-70S Continue to follow TN-111 - drive approximately 4.8 miles. Take EXIT for W Bockman Way/TN-26/US-70 - drive approximately 0.3 miles. Turn LEFT at W Bockman Way/TN-26/US-70 Continue to follow US-70 - drive approximately 11.0 miles. Turn RIGHT at Eastland Rd - drive approximately 5.7 miles. Turn RIGHT at Scotts Gulf Rd - drive approximately 2.0 miles. Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness will be on the RIGHT.
